Unhas LPPM Launches TRG Batch 3, 24 Interdisciplinary Researchers Sign Contracts
Wednesday, April 9, 2025 — In order to strengthen the thematic research ecosystem based on cross-disciplinary collaboration, the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Hasanuddin University held a Socialization and Contract Signing event for the Thematic Research Group (TRG) Batch 3 Program, which took place in the LPPM Meeting Room A.
A total of 24 researchers from various faculties and scientific fields successfully passed as recipients of the TRG Batch 3 grant. They come from various fields, including Economics and Business, Social and Political Sciences, Forestry, Marine and Fisheries, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Engineering, and Health Sciences.
In his speech, the Head of LPPM Unhas expressed his appreciation to the selected researchers, while emphasizing the importance of optimizing the two-year research period to produce impactful and sustainable outcomes. “We, as the managers of LPPM, have high hopes for the researchers’ achievements, given the long research period and the one-time disbursement of research funds,” he said.
Furthermore, the Head of LPPM also encouraged all TRG group leaders to reactivate the TRG website, which serves as a means of publication, documentation, and strengthening collaboration networks among researchers.
In line with this, the Secretary of LPPM Unhas, Prof. Suharman Hamzah, also appealed to researchers to maintain active communication with LPPM during the research period. “If you, researchers, often receive reminder letters from LPPM, please understand. It is part of our efforts to ensure that each stage runs according to the target and the output is achieved optimally,” he added.
The event also featured technical sessions on grant administration management, disbursement systems, and monitoring and evaluation reporting mechanisms. This forum served not only as a venue for contract signing but also as a space for strengthening understanding and coordination among research teams.
