LPPM UNHAS Holds First Meeting to Draft LPPM Strategic Plan for 2025-2029
Tuesday, November 19, 2024 – The Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) held its first meeting to formulate the LPPM Strategic Plan (RENSTRA) for the 2025-2029 period. The event took place in the LPPM UNHAS Meeting Room and was attended by LPPM management, faculty representatives, and various stakeholders within UNHAS.
The meeting, chaired by the Head of LPPM UNHAS, Prof. Dr. Muh. Nasrum Massi, Ph.D Sp.MK, aimed to formulate the direction and focus of research and community service that are more relevant to the challenges and developments in science and technology in the future. In his opening remarks, Prof. Nasrum emphasized the importance of LPPM’s role in supporting UNHAS’ vision and mission as a university oriented towards innovation and community empowerment.
“The 2025-2029 LPPM Strategic Plan will serve as a strategic reference in the development of research and community service, which is not only oriented towards scientific publications but also focuses on practical applications for the welfare of society and strengthening the nation’s competitiveness,” he said.
On this occasion, the meeting participants also discussed various flagship programs that can be implemented in the next five years, including strengthening interdisciplinary research collaboration, increasing human resource capacity, and optimizing the role of LPPM in developing research-based public policies.
In addition, the meeting also covered the determination of success indicators, budget allocation, and the preparation of a roadmap to ensure that the RENSTRA that was prepared could be implemented effectively and have a significant impact on the development of science and community welfare.
This first meeting is expected to be the starting point for the formulation of a comprehensive and integrated RENSTRA that is able to accommodate the needs and expectations of various parties within UNHAS and the wider community.
