LPPM UNHAS Holds Initial Monitoring and Evaluation for 2025 Beginner Lecturer Research (PDPU)

The Hasanuddin University Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM UNHAS) held an Initial Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) for recipients of the 2025 Unhas Early Career Researcher Program (PDPU). This activity took place on Monday (1/9) at the LPPM UNHAS Building, Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar.
This Initial Monev activity was attended by dozens of early-career lecturers from various faculties within UNHAS who have received PDPU funding this year. Monev aims to ensure that the implementation of the research is in accordance with the approved proposal, while also providing initial guidance to improve the quality and output of the research.
The monitoring and evaluation process was carried out by a team of internal reviewers from LPPM UNHAS who assessed the readiness of implementation, work plans, budgets, and the potential research outputs. In addition, the lecturers also received direct input regarding research methods and technical implementation to ensure compliance with academic standards and research ethics.
One of the participants from the Faculty of Medicine appreciated this activity as a form of tangible support from LPPM for novice researchers. “Monitoring and evaluation activities like this are very helpful for us in ensuring that our research remains on track. The reviewers’ suggestions are very constructive, especially in strengthening the methodology,” he said.
The UNHAS PDPU program is an initiative of LPPM aimed at supporting young lecturers in building a research track record, while also fostering a culture of research in the academic environment. The outcomes of this program are expected to contribute to improving the university’s overall research performance.
This Initial Monitoring and Evaluation activity will be followed by periodic monitoring and a Final Monitoring and Evaluation at the end of the research period to assess the achievement of the predetermined targets and research outcomes.
