The Energy and Electricity Research and Development Center Receives a Visit from Mara University of Technology

The Center for Energy and Electricity Research and Development (Puslitbang Energi dan Listrik) of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) at Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) recently received an official visit from a delegation from the University of Technology Mara (UiTM), Malaysia. The visit aimed to establish cooperation in the field of renewable energy research and electrical technology. The meeting was held on October 28, 2024, in the meeting room of the LPPM UNHAS building.

The UiTM delegation was warmly welcomed by the Head of the Energy and Electricity Research and Development Center at Unhas, Prof. Dr.Eng. Ir. Syafaruddin, S.T, M.Eng., IPU. During this meeting, both parties discussed various potential collaborations, including joint research, student exchanges, as well as seminars and workshops in the field of energy and electricity.

Prof. Dr.Eng. Ir. Syafaruddin, S.T, M.Eng., IPU said, “We are very enthusiastic about the arrival of our colleagues from UiTM. This collaboration is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of renewable energy technology in the Southeast Asian region.”

The visit concluded with a tour of the Energy and Electricity Research and Development Center’s laboratory facilities, where the UiTM delegates had the opportunity to see various ongoing research projects.

Both universities hope that this collaboration can be realized soon, for the advancement of science and technology in the field of energy and electricity.
