The Center for Research and Development of Livestock and Tropical Animal Resources (Puslitbang Sentro), the Institute for Research and Community Service of Hasanuddin University (LPPM Unhas) signed a cooperation agreement with the Faculty of Animal Science, Halu Oleo University (UHO) on Friday, March 10, 2023. The signing ceremony, which took place at the Faculty of Animal Science, UHO, aims to develop the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education) in the context of developing learning, research, and community service between Puslitbang Sentro and the Faculty of Animal Science, UHO.

The cooperation agreement was signed directly by Dr. Ir. Ali Bain, M.Si. as Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, UHO and Prof. Dr. Ir. Jasmal A. Syamsu, M.Si., IPU, ASEAN Eng. as Head of the Sentro Research and Development Center, LPPM Unhas. Both welcomed the draft model of activities that will be carried out based on this cooperation contract. The planned activities include collaborative research, community service and empowerment, internships, public lectures, training, and other activities as agreed upon. Additionally, Prof. Jasmal also hopes to provide opportunities for students and faculty members to contribute to the dissemination of knowledge and ideas as part of efforts to become outstanding human resources, full of initiative, and contributory to changes in society and livestock development.
