Makassar, January 7, 2025 – The Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) of Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) once again held a meeting for the preparation of the 2025–2029 Strategic Plan (Renstra). The main agenda of this meeting was the synchronization of scientific cluster topics within the fields of Techno Science, Medical Complex, Agro Complex, and Social, Cultural, and Legal Studies (Sosbudhkum).

This third stage of the Strategic Plan formulation meeting focused on reviewing the programs and indicators of the Renstra at the faculty, department, and research and development center (Puslitbang) levels. The activity was attended by researchers from 16 faculties, covering the science and technology (saintek), social sciences and humanities (soshum), health, and agriculture clusters.

This synchronization process is aimed not only at ensuring the alignment of research and community service topics with the needs of society but also at strengthening the relevance and strategic impact of the Renstra program.

Furthermore, the formulated Renstra is expected to serve as a reference point for Hasanuddin University researchers in designing innovative research and community service activities that are adaptive to both global and local challenges.

This fourth stage of Renstra formulation also reflects Hasanuddin University’s commitment to supporting national development through integrated and collaborative academic contributions in the fields of education, research, and community service. Thus, this Strategic Plan is expected to reinforce UNHAS’s role as a center of excellence in science and technology that has a significant impact on the nation’s progress.
