LPPM UNHAS Hosts Benchmarking Visit from LPPM USU

Makassar, December 3, 2024 – The Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) of Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) hosted a benchmarking visit from the Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) of Sumatera Utara University (USU). The activity, which took place on the UNHAS Campus, aimed to exchange experiences and information related to the management of research and community service at both institutions.

The delegation from LPPM USU was welcomed by the Head of LPPM UNHAS, Prof. Dr. Muh. Nasrum Massi, Ph.D., Sp.mk(K), in the LPPM UNHAS meeting room.

During the meeting, both institutions discussed various important aspects of managing research and community service programs, including the funding system, inter-university collaboration, and innovations in program implementation that have a direct impact on the community.

On this occasion, both parties also exchanged information regarding their respective flagship programs, including the management of research funds, the implementation of community service activities focused on solving social problems, and efforts to enhance the quality of scientific publications that impact the university’s reputation at both the national and international levels.

The benchmarking visit concluded with a more in-depth discussion on the potential for cooperation between LPPM UNHAS and LPPM USU, both in the form of joint research and in the implementation of more coordinated community service programs. Both institutions hope that this meeting will serve as an initial step in forging closer collaboration in the future.

With this visit, it is hoped that both universities can mutually enrich their experiences and increase their contributions to the advancement of science and the welfare of the community.
