LPPM Unhas Holds Community Service Event in Conjunction with its 68th Anniversary in Pinrang Regency
In commemoration of the 68th anniversary of Hasanuddin University (Unhas), the Unhas Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) held a community service event in Pinrang Regency with the theme “Cultural and Scientific Connectivity Towards a World Class University”. This activity aimed to strengthen Unhas’ involvement in regional development through the integration of local culture and science.
The event, which took place at several strategic locations in Pinrang Regency, involved various groups, ranging from academics and students to the local community. Various activities such as seminars, workshops, and innovation exhibitions also colored the event, showcasing research results relevant to the needs of the local community.
The Rector of Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc, said that this activity was a tangible form of Unhas’ commitment to bridging science with local culture in order to achieve the title of a world-class university. “Pinrang Regency was chosen as the location for this year’s community service because it has rich cultural potential and strategic relevance for the development of science,” said the Rector of Unhas in his speech.
The Head of LPPM Unhas, Prof.dr. Muh. Nasrum Massi, Ph.D., Sp.MK (K), emphasized that the activities in Pinrang Regency were designed to encourage closer collaboration between Unhas and the local community. “Through this event, we hope to make a real contribution to regional development and strengthen the relationship between the university and the community in Pinrang Regency,” he explained.
With the success of this community service event in Pinrang Regency, Unhas hopes to further establish itself as a university that is not only outstanding in academic and research fields but also in making a positive impact on communities across Indonesia.
