The Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Hasanuddin University (Unhas) held a socialization event for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology’s BIMA postgraduate research program for the 2024 fiscal year. This activity aimed to provide researchers, lecturers, and postgraduate students with an understanding of research opportunities and the procedures for submitting research proposals.

In his speech, the Director of LPPM Unhas, Prof. dr. Muh. Nasrum Massi, Ph.D., Sp.MK (K), conveyed the importance of the role of research institutions in supporting quality research in higher education. “This socialization serves as a forum to provide information and motivate young researchers to contribute to the development of science and technology.”

The event featured a presentation on the guidelines for submitting BIMA postgraduate research proposals by representatives from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. Participants were invited to understand the assessment criteria and research focus desired by the Ministry.

Participants in the socialization program consisted of lecturers, researchers, and graduate students from various faculties at Unhas. The diversity of the participants’ academic backgrounds was expected to generate innovative research ideas with the potential to have a positive impact on national development.
