Population and Gender Research Center and LPPM Unhas Hold Book Launch and Discussion “Gender Equality and Diversity in Indonesia: Identifying Progress and Challenges”
The Population and Gender Research and Development Center, together with the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Hasanuddin University (Unhas), held a book launch and discussion entitled “Gender Equality and Diversity in Indonesia: Identifying Progress and Challenges.” The event aimed to discuss developments and challenges in achieving gender equality and diversity in Indonesia.
At the offline launch event held at the LPPM Hall, Prof. dr. Muh. Nasrum Massi, Ph.D., Sp.MK (K), Chair of LPPM Unhas, conveyed the importance of strengthening efforts to achieve gender equality and promote diversity in all aspects of society. He also highlighted the important role of higher education institutions in generating knowledge and solutions for complex social issues.
The discussion involved researchers, activists, and practitioners with experience in advocating for gender equality and diversity in Indonesia. They shared their views, experiences, and thoughts on concrete steps that can be taken to improve conditions in various sectors.
The launch and discussion of the book “Gender Equality and Diversity in Indonesia: Identifying Progress and Challenges” is expected to serve as a momentum to strengthen the awareness and commitment of all parties in promoting gender equality and diversity as an integral part of sustainable development in Indonesia.
