The Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Surabaya State University (Unesa) conducted a benchmarking visit to the LPPM of Hasanuddin University (Unhas) in Makassar. The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation between the universities and improve the quality of research and community service at both institutions (3/11).
During the visit, the team from LPPM Unesa was led by Prof. Dr. H. Muhammad Turhan Yani, M.A., Director of LPPM Unesa, who was received by Prof. dr. Muh. Nasrum Massi, Ph.D., Sp. MK (K), Head of LPPM Unhas. This meeting was the first step in efforts to increase collaboration between universities in Indonesia.
Prof. Dr. H. Muhammad Turhan Yani, M.A., explained that this benchmarking aims to exchange experiences, especially in terms of research management and community service. “We want to understand the best practices that have been implemented at Unhas and apply them at Unesa to improve the quality of our research and community service,” he said.

This visit is expected to be the first step in strengthening the relationship between LPPM Unesa and LPPM Unhas, as well as encouraging improvements in the quality of research and community service at both universities. Such benchmarking is expected to provide a positive boost for universities in Indonesia to continue improving the quality of education and their contributions to the development of society and the nation.
