Head of LPPM Unhas Represents University at Event “Network Event: Infectious Diseases Relevant to Southeast Asia”

Prof. Dr. Muh. Nasrum Massi, Ph.D., Sp.MK (K), as the Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) at Hasanuddin University (Unhas), represented the university at the “Network Event: Infectious Diseases Relevant to Southeast Asia.” The event, held from February 20-22, 2024, in Thailand, aims to facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration among experts and researchers from various countries in the Southeast Asian region in the field of infectious diseases.

The event was attended by various health experts and practitioners from countries in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam. The topics discussed covered various aspects related to infectious diseases, such as epidemiology, prevention, diagnosis, and control, as well as collaborative efforts that can be made to improve preparedness and response to outbreaks.

It is hoped that this event will serve as a momentum to strengthen the network of cooperation between researchers and institutions in the Southeast Asian region in a joint effort to address transnational health issues, as well as accelerate the discovery of solutions and innovations that can have a positive impact on society at large.
