LPPM UNHAS and South Sulawesi Provincial Government Economic Bureau Collaborate on Seminar: “Economic Feasibility Study for Banana Cultivation Development”
Preliminary Seminar on “Economic Feasibility Study for Banana Cultivation Development in South Sulawesi” Successfully Held
The Preliminary Seminar themed “Economic Feasibility Study for Banana Cultivation Development in South Sulawesi”, held on December 8, 2023, in the LPPM Meeting Room, marked a positive initial step in optimizing the region’s economic potential through the development of banana cultivation.
In an effort to explore the economic and development potential of South Sulawesi, the Economic and Development Administration Bureau of the Regional Secretariat of South Sulawesi Province, collaborated with the Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) of Hasanuddin University, represented by the LPPM Secretary, Prof. Ir. Suharman Hamzah S.T., M.T, Ph.D. HSE.
This cooperation aims to provide a platform for discussion and the exchange of ideas among stakeholders, academics, and practitioners in the agricultural sector, particularly in the context of banana cultivation. Bananas are one of the leading commodities in South Sulawesi, and improving the quality and sustainability of their cultivation was the primary focus of this seminar.
