LPPM UNHAS Holds Focus Group Discussion with the Director of the National Museum of Ethnology, Japan
The Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) of Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with the Director of the National Museum of Ethnology, Japan, Dr. Rintaro Ono. The event took place in Meeting Room A of LPPM UNHAS and was attended by researchers and academics.
This FGD aimed to strengthen international cooperation in the fields of ethnology and cultural research, and to discuss opportunities for research collaboration between UNHAS and the National Museum of Ethnology, Japan. In his welcome address, the Head of LPPM UNHAS, Prof. dr. Muh. Nasrum Massi, Ph.D., SP.MK (K), highlighted the importance of this cooperation for enriching the repository of cultural research and enhancing cross-cultural understanding between the two nations.
The discussion was interactive, featuring various questions and input from the participants. Topics covered included ethnographic research methods, cultural heritage preservation, and the use of technology in cultural documentation.
The event concluded with a joint photo session with Dr. Rintaro Ono. This FGD activity is expected to serve as the beginning of a closer and more productive collaboration between UNHAS and the National Museum of Ethnology, Japan.
