LPPM UNHAS Holds 2025 Working Meeting in Sorowako, Forms Three Teams to Strengthen Regional Cooperation
Sorowako, East Luwu – The Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) held a 2025 Work Meeting (Raker) with all Center Heads (KAPUS) in Sorowako, East Luwu Regency, on May 24-27. This activity aimed to formulate next year’s work strategy while strengthening synergy with local governments in northern South Sulawesi.
During the 4-day meeting, LPPM UNHAS also formed three working teams to be placed in three strategic areas, namely Belopa (Luwu Regency), Masamba (North Luwu Regency), and Malili (East Luwu Regency). These teams were mandated to establish partnerships and cooperation with local governments and communities in order to expand the scope of research and community service activities.
The Head of LPPM UNHAS, Prof. Dr. Muh. Nasrum Massi, Ph.D., Sp.Mk(K), said that the formation of these teams is a strategic step to ensure the sustainability and relevance of UNHAS programs to the real needs of the community in the region.
We want to ensure that UNHAS’s presence is not only felt in Makassar, but also directly touches the communities in the regions. Through teams in Belopa, Masamba, and Malili, we will establish more intensive communication with local governments and develop programs that are in line with the potential and issues of the regions, he said.
The 2025 Working Meeting also served as a momentum to evaluate LPPM programs during 2024 and to develop a roadmap for research and community service activities that are more inclusive, collaborative, and have a broader impact.
The event concluded with field visits to several potential locations for research and community service collaboration, as well as group discussions with local government representatives.
