Unhas LPPM Holds Handover Ceremony as a Step to Strengthen Institutional Governance
Tuesday, April 8, 2025 — In order to support the process of regeneration and continuity of institutional governance, the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Hasanuddin University held a handover ceremony at the LPPM Hall at 2:30 p.m. WITA.
The event was attended by the entire LPPM leadership, from the Chair, Secretary, to the Heads of Research Centers. The main agenda of the event was the signing of the handover document by two structural officials, namely the Head of Administration and the Head of the Center for Drug Discovery and Development.
The officials who officially signed the handover document were Mr. Bakrie, S.Sos., M.M., who now serves as Head of Administration, and Prof. Yusnita Rifai, S.Si., M.Pharm., Apt., Ph.D., who has been appointed as Head of the Center for Drug Discovery and Development, replacing Prof. Gemini Alam.
The Head of LPPM Hasanuddin University, in his speech, expressed his appreciation and high hopes for the new officials. He emphasized that both of them have the capacity and integrity to continue and strengthen the strategic role of the institution. “I believe that the two newly appointed officials have the adequate capabilities to continue the leadership baton and encourage sustainable institutional progress,” he said.
On the same occasion, Mr. Bakrie expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him. “It is an honor for me to carry out this mandate. I am committed to carrying out my duties and responsibilities with professionalism and high dedication,” he said.
Meanwhile, Prof. Yusnita Rifai expressed her pride in the mandate she received. She said that this trust is a big responsibility that she will carry out as best as possible. “Being part of a strategic research center is both an honor and a challenge. I will strive to continue and strengthen the foundation that has been built by Prof. Gemini Alam,” she said.
With the handover of duties, LPPM Unhas demonstrates its strong commitment to creating an adaptive, professional institutional system oriented toward improving the quality of higher education’s tridharma.
