LPPM UNHAS Holds Third Stage of Strategic Plan Development, Focusing on Science Clusters

Makassar, December 31, 2024 – The Institute for Research and Community Service

(Renstra). The main agenda of this meeting was to determine the fields of study for
each faculty, including science and technology (saintek), social sciences and humanities
(soshum), and health.
The meeting, which took place in Meeting Room A of the LPPM Building, was attended by the heads of
research and development centers (puslitbang), including representatives from the

representative presented the draft Strategic Plan that had been prepared based on the characteristics
of each faculty’s field of study.
The Head of LPPM UNHAS, Prof. Dr. Muh. Nasrum Massi, Ph.D., Sp.MK emphasized the importance
of this stage of determining fields of study in shaping the strategic direction of the Hasanuddin University Strategic Plan
Hasanuddin University. “The formulation of the Renstra at this stage serves as a guide for each field of
study to formulate targeted work programs and clear success indicators.
This is the strategic foundation for building the institution’s vision for the future,” he explained.
In line with this, the Secretary of LPPM, Prof. Ir. Suharman Hamzah, Ph.D expressed
his hope that the Renstra development process would be in line with national policies,
particularly in supporting the Indonesia Emas 2045 vision. “Input from fellow researchers
is invaluable in improving the quality of this Renstra. In the future, this will also
impact the formation of more relevant and integrated Thematic Research Groups,” he said.
The meeting also emphasized the importance of synergy between research and community service.
With the guidance of a science-based Renstra, it is hoped that the resulting research programs
will not only have a significant academic impact but also
provide tangible contributions to society.
LPPM UNHAS is optimistic that this strategic step will support the sustainability of research
and community service programs, while strengthening the position of Hasanuddin University as an institution
that excels in building innovation for the advancement of the nation.
