Jeneponto Regency Government Explores Cooperation with LPPM UNHAS to Optimize SPBE
Makassar, January 24, 2025 – The Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) of Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) hosted a visit from the Jeneponto Regency Regional Government to discuss cooperation concerning technical guidance for the preparation of the architecture and roadmap documents for the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE).
The visit was attended by the Regional Secretary of Jeneponto Regency, the Head of the Jeneponto Communication and Informatics Office, and the LPPM UNHAS expert team in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
“We hope this collaboration can facilitate easier coordination among various offices in realizing digital-based government governance,” stated the Regional Secretary of Jeneponto.
The Secretary of LPPM UNHAS, Prof. Ir. Suharman Hamzah, Ph.D Eng HSE, expressed his institution’s readiness to support the program.
“LPPM UNHAS is opening the door for the widest possible collaboration and is ready to provide maximum assistance, whether through technical guidance, audits, or other programs, due to the diverse capacity and knowledge base of UNHAS researchers and lecturers,” he stated.
The LPPM UNHAS assessment team also recommended that the Jeneponto Regional Government appoint a special staff member as an internal auditor to ensure the sustainability of the SPBE program at the regional level.
This cooperation is considered strategic by the Jeneponto Regional Government as a step to accelerate the development of the SPBE that meets established standards, with a focus on organizational governance and the enhancement of electronic-based public services.
SPBE (Sistem Pemerintahan Berbasis Elektronik or Electronic-Based Government System) is a government system that utilizes information technology to enhance the efficiency and quality of public services.
