Call for Proposals Socialization KONEKSI: Unhas Strengthens its Role in Indonesia-Australia Collaborative Research

Thursday, April 3, 2025 – The Hasanuddin University Research Institute successfully held an online socialization event for the KONEKSI Call for Proposals via Zoom at 2:00 p.m. WITA. The event was attended by 117 participants from various multidisciplinary backgrounds, including the Heads of Research Group Teams (TRG) and the Head of Indonesian Collaborative Research (RKI).
The socialization was led directly by the Rector of Hasanuddin University, Prof. Jeje, who explained the role of Unhas in supporting the KONEKSI program with the theme “Supporting a Fair and Sustainable Energy Transition in Indonesia.” In his remarks, Prof. Jeje emphasized that Unhas researchers have a great opportunity to secure funding from this program, given their strong research track record and Unhas’ position as one of the leading universities in Indonesia.
“A number of Unhas researchers have successfully obtained funding from the previous KONEKSI scheme. Coupled with the large number of Unhas lecturers who have studied in Australia, this opportunity is even more wide open,” he said. He also emphasized that one of the characteristics of a leading university is its ability to seek broader research funding opportunities and build a culture of excellence.
In addition to the Rector of Unhas, the Head of the Unhas Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) also explained the mechanism and process for submitting proposals under the KONEKSI program. Meanwhile, the moderator of the socialization event, Sudirman Nasir S.Ked.MWA.,Ph.D, added that this program not only supports strategic research but also increases the revenue value of the research conducted.
The KONEKSI research program is a research program initiated by the Australian Government through the Ministry of Trade and the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). This program aims to encourage research collaboration between Indonesian and Australian academics to produce innovations that have a significant impact on sustainable development.
The holding of this socialization further emphasizes Hasanuddin University’s commitment to creating research innovations that make a real contribution to sustainable development in the field of fair and sustainable energy transition.
